iDiD differs from the majority of digital signage software in the market in that it is not limited to specific hardware and so allows the client to use their existing hardware.

The operating systems the Player device can run are Linux, Windows, Mac OS or Android. The specific performance requirements depend on the kind of content and configuration that will be used.

Digital signage screens

iDiD and our vast reseller and partner network recommend the use of professional digital signage screens. Important criteria when choosing a display include

  • The location of the display?
  • Brightness requirements?
  • The size of the screen?
  • Configuration; a need for a videowall or screens of different sizes?
  • Should it be protected, e.g. against dust?
  • Will the display be by a window? Outside? Do you need a LED wall?

If you don't know these things yet, don't worry. Contact us, and let's go through your needs together.

Player devices

The player device and the iDiD player software installed on it are the brain of the digital signage display. Based on the content requirements, you can use an external player device, hardware you already own, or a modern digital signage screen with an embedded player (SoC Player).

Via iDiD and our partners you can find the best solution for your needs. If you are unsure what solution would be the best for you, don't hesitate to ask. We will help you find the answers, in plain English.
